This Privacy Policy explains how Caero approaches privacy as a local-first, offline iPhone app and how limited information may be handled when users contact support or visit the website.

This policy applies to the Caero iOS application, the official Caero website, and direct support communications related to the product.

Caero is designed to work locally on a user’s device and does not require account creation or registration. In normal app use, Caero is not intended to collect or transmit personal financial records to external servers. Limited information may still be involved in the following cases:
- Financial entries such as income, expenses, categories, notes, and dates are stored on the user’s device for use within the app.
- If a user contacts support, the support team may receive the email address and any information the user chooses to include in the message.
- The website or hosting provider may process limited technical information such as standard server logs needed to deliver and protect the website.
3. How Information Is Used
Any limited information received outside the app itself may be used to respond to support requests, maintain the website, protect service integrity, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Local Storage and Security
Caero is built as a local-first app. Financial data entered into the app is intended to remain on the user’s device unless the user chooses to include it in a support request, backup, or another device-level sharing method outside the app. Users are responsible for protecting access to their own devices and any backups they create.

Caero does not require a cloud account to function. If third-party services are used for website hosting or email support, those services may process limited information strictly to provide those functions. Caero does not sell personal information.

Users can stop using the app at any time and can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app or clearing device data where supported by the operating system. Users may also contact support with privacy questions.

Caero is not directed to children under 13, and the app is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children.
