Data & Deletion

This page explains how data deletion works for a local-first version of Caero and what support can help with if users have privacy questions.

Deleting App Data

Because Caero is designed to store financial records locally on the user’s device, most deletion actions are controlled directly by the user. In general, deleting the app or removing its local data from the device will remove the records stored there.

Support Requests

If a user has questions about local data removal or previously shared information through support, they can contact [email protected]. Users should not include unnecessary sensitive financial details in their message.

Information Sent Outside the App

If a user has emailed support, the support team may retain that communication for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, protect the service, or comply with legal obligations. Users may request deletion of support-related information where applicable.

Local Device Data

Users should make sure they understand any device-level backup behavior before deleting local data. If the device itself creates backups, copies of app data may remain in those backups until they are also removed by the user.
